Executive chef, Adam Hay and his kitchen team have taken the fantastic Kangaroo Island produce and created a menu that has something for everyone. Our spring menu for 2008 focuses on the wide range of local product in season, with dishes such as Seared marinated squid, Hog Bay Apiary organic honey, tomato, garlic & chilli,fregola tabouleh, Linguine with KI marron, prawns, Coorong pippis, ocean trout and squid finished with white wine, KI olive oil, chilli & fresh herbs, or slow roasted local lamb rack, roast organic garlic, thyme & rosemary potatoes, caponata, salsa verde.
Our alfresco area is the perfect place to spend a lazy afternoon, enjoying favourites from our lunch menu including: Sorrento's prawn cocktail with avocado, crisp baby cos, cherry tomato & marie rose sauce,Crispy battered local King George Whiting, with house salad, fries, lemon & aioli or aged 300g grain-fed porterhouse with cafe de paris buter and fries.
Rounding out the Sorrento's experience is the one-of-a-kind service brought to you by our Maitre D', Richard Purvis and his unique charm. Offering a full selection of award winning wines from Kangaroo Island, as well as small parcels of cellar stock from the mainland Australia, Richard will guide you to the perfect choice for your meal or discerning palate.
